Terms and Conditions

The Contract

The person booking the service for a specific session will sign the contract, which includes: Client’s Details, Date of Event, Location of Event, Time of Event, and the number of persons requiring makeup/hair services. A deposit is required at the time of contract signing to secure the reservation of the date. Full payment is required for bookings made less than one month before the event date.

Changes to the number of persons requiring services after contract signing may incur additional costs if not communicated at least two months before the booked date, due to potential scheduling conflicts. Once booked, services cannot be removed, though additional services can be added if scheduling permits.

To secure the date, a signed contract and a 50% retainer fee are necessary at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Prices may be adjusted for all packages if changes are made to the agreement.

Full payment must be completed via email money transfer (EMT) to lorrainemakeupartistry@gmail.com by the day prior to the event date, or it may result in a no-show. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Half/Full Day Returning Services

Rates begin after initial wedding day applications and are calculated hourly until artist’s departure. The artist requires two short breaks and a one-hour meal break. A fee of $200 per hour will be applied after 4 hours (half day) or 8 hours (full day). Clients are responsible for any delays or factors affecting productivity.

The full day rate applies even if the artist's services are not required for the entire 4 hours (half day) or 8 hours (full day).

Early Morning Fee

An early morning fee will be charged for start times at 7am or earlier ($50 per artist) and 5am or earlier ($100 per artist). Start times are determined based on the services required, the number of artists, and the time needed to complete the applications.

Additional Artist(s)

The listed rates apply to one artist. For large parties or bookings requiring the assistance of a second artist due to time constraints, an additional $100 booking fee per artist will apply.

Service Location Requirements

The location for the day of the event will be chosen by the client. The makeup and hair artists will require a table or work area at the venue, as well as a well-lit space with adequate lighting from lamps or natural sources, and access to a wall plug.

Travel Fees

No additional travel charges apply to initial locations within Toronto/GTA, Calgary/CMR, and Chestermere. For locations beyond these areas, extra charges of $1/km for per artist will apply (please inquire for specifics regarding your location).

For locations more than 2 hours away, accommodations may need to be provided. The client is responsible for covering all lodging, parking, and travel fees incurred by each artist. Parking fees per vehicle also apply where applicable.

Liability

All makeup products and brushes are kept sanitary and sanitized after each use. Our makeup products are hypoallergenic and professional-grade, ensuring high-quality application. We prioritize using top-tier products in our services. Clients with skin conditions are requested to inform the makeup artist during the trial period.

Airfare and Accommodations

The client is responsible for covering travel costs to the booked destination event, which may include airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation, parking fees, and applicable taxes.

Cancellations

All deposits paid by the client will be refunded if the contract is cancelled within 24 hours of signing. In the event that the makeup/hair artist cancels or is unable to perform their duties for any reason, 100% of the deposit will be refunded. If the client requests Lorraine Makeup Artistry to find a replacement for the event, 15% of the total deposit paid will be returned to the client. Cancellations made after 24 hours are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Trial Dates

A $85 fee will apply for missed trial appointments upon rescheduling. We value our clients' time and kindly ask for the same consideration in return.

COVID Policies

If your wedding needs to be postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions, your original deposit may be used to reschedule your date with Lorraine Makeup Artistry (subject to availability) one time.

If you are unable to postpone or need to cancel your wedding day with us, your deposit remains non-refundable but will be credited for future services for a grace period of three months.

For weddings postponed more than once, a rebooking fee of 25% of your total applies.

Negotiating or debating rates and policies will not be tolerated.
